The Berlin U25 Open was organized for the first time in 2023 and takes place annually.
The organizer of the tournament is the “SV Königsjäger Süd-West e.V.”, supported by the “Deutscher Schachbund e.V.” and the “Berliner Schachverband e.V.”.
The tournament is exceptionally well endowed with prize money. This is made possible by a considerable fortune, which our long-time club member Rainer Radtke has left us with this purpose.
We would like to thank the School and Sports Office Steglitz-Zehlendorf, as well as the Beethoven-Gymnasium for providing the rooms.
